“It worked for me!”

Personal experience or anecdotes (stories) are an unreliable basis for assessing the impacts of many actions.

People often believe that a change (such as in yield) were due to a specific intervention.

Although people may observe a change/a specific outcome following specific actions/events, the cause may not always be clear.

BEWARE when someone says: “It worked for me.”

REMEMBER, someone’s personal experience of using an intervention does not necessarily mean that the intervention was the cause or that it will work in other situations.
