Environmental
Just because an intervention is new, expensive, technologically impressive, or brand-named does not mean that it is better or safer than other interventions.
New products or processes are often assumed to have lower environmental impact or are better for the environment because they are new or because they are more expensive. Some side effects of interventions, for example pollution effects, take time to appear and it may not be possible to know whether they will appear without long term follow-up.
BEWARE: An intervention should not be assumed to be beneficial and safe simply because it is new, brand-named or expensive.
REMEMBER: Think about whether the intervention has been tested in fair comparisons.
