Interventions intended to benefit may also be harmful to the environment.

People often exaggerate the benefits of interventions and ignore or downplay potential harms. Few interventions are 100% beneficial.

BEWARE when someone says that an intervention is “100% beneficial” or does not say anything about its safety.

REMEMBER: Interventions can be harmful as well as helpful.
