Are the subjects very different?

Always ask yourself if your subjects are very different from the subjects studied.

Species and habitats are different in many ways. Most of the time when there are intervention comparisons only in one species or habitat type, it is very uncertain what the effects of the interventions are in others.

REMEMBER: Results of primary studies or systematic reviews of studies on highly selected groups of subjects may be misleading.
