Nutrition
Look out for outcomes in comparisons of nutrition interventions that were not assessed in a reliable way.
Some outcomes are easy to assess, such as sugar levels in the blood, and body weight. Others are more difficult, such as how hungry a person is, or what a person’s quality of life is. For comparisons of interventions to be meaningful, outcomes that are important to people should be assessed in ways that have been shown to be reliable.
REMEMBER: Think about whether outcomes were assessed with methods known to be reliable.
